Places are limited, split into bubbles of 15 each; then separated into younger and older children. Day length will be 8:30am – 4:30pm and we will not be open Fridays to allow a 72-hour break from the end of Thursday to the beginning of Monday the following week.
BOOKING OPTION 1:
When booking there will be the option to book a Monday to Thursday full week (Mon, Tues, Weds & Thurs of the same week) Each week when you book for the four consecutive days you go into the WEEK Bubble (for the respective week.)
BOOKING OPTION 2:
The other option is you can choose certain days which you need for childcare/ cover throughout the summer and you can then book for the 5 weeks we are operating for that particular day. Eg. If you join a DAY bubble (say you choose to come into the Monday Bubble you will book a place which covers every Monday for the 5 weeks we open) each Monday when you attend, you will be with the same group of children throughout the 5 weeks of summer camps. Siblings will be kept together and there will be an older group and a younger group within the bubble for all activities.
This is to enable us to create Bubbles which is important should we need to track and trace and these Bubbles (The ‘Week’ Bubble and The ‘Day’ Bubble) will operate independently of each other throughout the summer.
Additional Activities will be factored into the core days each week and so there will not be an opt-in system as in previous holidays. If children do not want to take part in any given additional activity then they will have the option to not join in on the day with any additional activity they may not feel comfortable with.
We have reduced the day length to take out the free play time as this is too tricky for us to manage safely. Therefore the day will be split into 6 activity blocks and this will include 3 coached sports, a Wild Tribe style activity a game based session and the Additional Activity for that day. Details of these Daily Additional Activities to follow soon.
With all this being said we know that the camps will be very different this summer to previous years.
We will endeavour to provide the most varied and fun programme for children to enjoy but depending on government guidelines we will not be able to offer all our usual programme of activity and will not be taking any children off-site.
Camps will only be allowed to operate on-site until Friday 21st August as the school is going to reopen on the 24th August to create additional time for learning for students when they are most receptive early in the new term.
