Tennis

We know that the younger a child picks up a tennis racket, the more likely they are to continue to play throughout their lives. That’s why we make our sessions fun and dynamic, with a clear path of progression to nurture a love of the game that will last a lifetime.

Anyone aged four to 18 can join our sessions at Mannamead Tennis Club, and we also offer coaching for adults – it’s never too late to pick up a sport for life. Join us and the Top Bounce team on 16 July by clicking the button below 👇🏼

We work with LTA Youth, tennis’ governing body, to deliver a fresh, modern and comprehensive coaching programme.

We know that the younger a child picks up a tennis racket, the more likely they are to continue to play throughout their lives. Our sessions are fun, dynamic and provide children with a clear and proven pathway of progression – all while having a great time!

How it works:

All of our group coaching lessons are full of fun games, designed to help kids become active, confident and more skilled.

Starting with the Blue Stage, kids will improve their balance, agility and coordination through fun games while learning how to play the sport we love.

Progress onto the Red Stage will see budding tennis players start to develop overarm serves, volleys and learn how to rally, whilst continuing to develop their coordination, balance, speed & agility.

Still with soft balls and small courts they’ll be introduced to relaxed competition, too.

Progressing onto the Orange Stage means learning to become more than a one-shot wonder! Time to throw some tactics, problem-solving and guides to sportsmanship and leadership into the mix. They’ll know all of the rules and will be serving and returning.

Green Stage is when the kids will start to play on a full-sized court. Now it’s all about growing their game by fine tuning and refining the techniques they’ve learned so far.

The final stage in their tennis development journey is the Yellow Stage, where as well as playing on a full-sized court they will be using the same balls that the professionals use.

Kids will continue to explore different styles on the court and start to choose their own game. By this point, we hope the kids will be tennis players, and fans of the game for life!
