Where to find us this summer

Week 5: Freestyle football

To round off our epic summer, we’ve got something extra special lined up for Week 5 as we welcome back professional freestyler and two-time Guinness World Record Holder Jamie Knight for our fantastic Freestyle Football Camp at Eggbuckland.

Jamie is currently one of the world’s best and most in-demand professional Football Freestylers, and travels the world working with prominent global brands such as Nike, Adidas and Red Bull.

Not only is he a Guinness World Record holder – for the most football (soccer) neck-flick 360 spins in 30 seconds – but he was also ‘Skillzy’, the official Euro 2020 mascot.

From Monday to Wednesday, 22nd-24th August, Jamie will offer children (and parents) the chance to watch a demonstration of his incredible ball skills in three action-packed days of exciting masterclasses and mini tournaments.

First Touch Football Summer Tournament

Your little Messi’s will get the opportunity to demonstrate what they’ve learned with Jamie the very next day (Thursday 25th August) at our First Touch Football Tournament Day – new for 2022!

Under the eye of our experienced coaches, players will take part in age-appropriate matches for the chance to gain extra points for your team and decide who will be crowned the champions on the final day of camp!

Skills-Drills-Confidence!

The camps are headed up by UEFA B Qualified Charlie Legg, who has an unbelievable wealth of qualifications and experience. Having worked with Exeter City, Swindon Town and Plymouth Argyle as well as Plymouth Raiders & Plymouth Albion, we are very excited to have him leading the programme.

First Touch Football remains independent of team affiliations, ensuring we deliver coaching purely focused on the child’s needs.

Charlie will be supported by an awesome team of coaches who will be using state-of-the-art technology and coaching methods to help your child fast-track their progress and reach their full potential.

Plus, as with all things ‘High-5’ we have an incredible range of football-based inflatables which we know the kids will absolutely love. First Touch Football is all about developing every player’s skill – through fun and engaging drills, to boost confidence and build their self-belief in their own footballing abilities.

First Touch Football Camps run from 25th July to 2nd September – and bookings are open now.

Skills for life

The High 5 philosophy can be found in our small group coaching, too, and First Touch Football is all about supporting the individual to get the best out of themselves.

Whether you play in a team, or not, Charlie’s use of state-of-the-art technology and coaching methods will help you reach your potential.

Four foundations

The coaching sessions are structured around four key areas: passing, dribbling, shooting, and fitness for football.

Using technology and benchmarks, our coaching team will be able to track your progress week to week, helping to build your confidence.

First Touch Football remains independent of team affiliations, ensuring that we can deliver coaching focused on the individual’s needs.

Skills, drills, confidence!

First Touch Football sessions are all about developing skills, having fun, and building confidence.

Based on these key principles, we regularly host sessions at Eggbuckland Community College and Pomphlett Primary.

They are run as holiday camps in school holidays or after-school clubs.
