Here at High 5 we are great believers that children must go on adventures to find out where they belong. We want to make the very most of each one of our campers’ precious holiday time:

  • Developing their confidence and independence
  • Encouraging them to try new things and
  • Emboldening a love for the outdoors, nature and sport

Our main aim for the week will be providing INSPIRATION for our new campers at both sites and PROGRESSION for long-term campers at Stover School.

This May has been our most popular camp to date so please don’t miss your child’s chance to join our inclusive community, under the guidance of experienced and intrepid camp leaders to have the most action packed break yet!

Here at High 5 we want to do everything we can to protect our marine wildlife and our beautiful local coastlines from plastic pollution. Our oceans are slowly turning into a plastic soup and the effects on ocean life are chilling.

As a Surfer’s Against Sewage Beach Clean Kit winning school we will join forces with Discovery Surf School to form an unstoppable OCEAN GUARDIAN TEAM this summer, protecting the beautiful stretch of coastline from Bovisands to Bigbury.

But we need your help! By combining the awesome people power of our coastal communities with our innovative new Ocean Plastic Emergency Kits we can together create a vital first line of defence against marine plastic pollution on our most loved beaches; providing havens for wildlife and beautiful spaces for everyone to enjoy.

We have arranged two stupendous Ocean Guardian Gatherings for families of our campers and after-school adventurers –

  • Sunday 17th June at Bovisands Beach
  • Saturday 14th July at Mothercombe Beach

All are welcome along to enjoy a day of beach cleaning, family games, rockpooling, friendship and fun. Our partners at Discovery are also hoping to join us! We will all work together to ensure that we remove and recycle as much plastic pollution as possible.

We will also be raising awareness across all of our social media platforms, shouting about your incredibly inspiring efforts and sharing our message as far and wide as we possible can help to help the Plastic Free Coastlines message reach people across the world!

It’s not too late – if we act together now we can protect the world’s precious oceans for future generations. If you would like to come along and get involved please give us a shout on our facebook page or email us at info@high5sportscamps.co.uk for details about meet times and locations.

Say YES to new adventures with High 5 Sports and Activity Camps.

We’re super excited for May Half Term Camps to begin at our Stover and Mount Kelly sites and wanted you to be the first to know which new experiences your children could be enjoying throughout the week.

We’ve really thought outside the box when putting together the additional activity programmes this time round and are offering our most action packed line up yet….

We have listened to your feedback and after the huge success of our Trampoline Time at camp we are hosting this activity twice within the week at both Stover and Mount Kelly sites. Trampolining is a great holistic health giver, bringing both physical and mental benefits – it’s hard to feel blue when you’re bouncing!

As S.A.S Ocean Guardians, we are committed to providing environmental education and applying a plastic free playtime philosophy to the programme. Our Junk Modelling sessions will see campers get crafty making sea creatures and learning hands on about the threat of plastic pollution to our coastlines.

Thrill seekers- we’ve got your back! Our zorbonauts go head over heels (literally!) for our Bubble Football tournaments running at both sites this half term. Campers at Stover can also enjoy our Laser Tag outdoor quasar. This incredibly exciting activity offers players the chance to experience real life battlefield scenarios but is totally safe and causes no pain when you get hit! An activity not to be missed, laser battles gets booked up and is often full so book early so you don’t miss out on a space.

Our campers at Mount Kelly will be treated to a visit from For Goodness Snakes Reptile Zoo on the Wednesday. They will be bringing with them a whole host of non-poisonous and very friendly reptiles and amphibians to look at, hold and learn about in this fascinating area of natural study.

To finish the week we have the ever popular Wild Cooking sessions at Stover, our campers will learn how to build and light a fire safely (last camp using only a magnifying glass, hay and some old jeans!) before having a go at preparing and cooking on the open fire. Of course hot chocolate and roasted marshmallows will be served up for all as a reward for creating fire!

That’s just a taster is some of the activities planned so if you would like your youngsters to live the adventure within our welcoming community under the guidance of our experienced staff, please click here to explore all of our additional experiences on offer and secure your place today.
